All Solid Acacia from Kala!
This beautiful, all-solid Striped Acacia will turn heads and please ears. Decorative features include a slotted headstock with vintage styled gear tuners, custom abalone fret marker inlays, maple binding and vintage-style herringbone purfling. Acacia is also called Mimosa or Shower Tree; these tropical trees are cousins of the Hawaiian Koa Tree. They have gorgeous striped patterns of light and dark brown and have a deep colorful tone that match their beauty.
For the last decade this model has been one of our best selling models. The binding is now maple wood and the fretboard and bridge are walnut. They lightened the weight of this instrument and increased the resonance and the new SA-T is certainly one of the best options for a high quality, modestly priced solid wood tenor.
Take a listen to this sweet sound sample from Corey.

Beautiful Uke 0 people found this helpfulThis is by far my favorite ukulele. The sound from acacia wood is so nice. The detail in the wood just really elevates the look. The setup on the uke was superb, highly recommend it.

Disappointing intonation. 0 people found this helpfulE string plays 5-10 cents sharp by the third fret. G chord hurts the ears due to the E string playing a very sharp G. Very disappointing as this is not a cheap uke and I have cheap ukes with much better intonation. Overall very disappointed with the instrument, I thought having a shop perform a "setup" would avoid issues like this. Now I'm stuck with an instrument that I don't' even want to play because of the very poor intonation.

Great Ukulele for beginners, very helpful costumer service 1 people found this helpfulMy wife found me a soprano ukulele last year during COVID I started fooling around with it. had trouble getting out some chords, fingers where to big. I started looking at bigger sizes Concert and Tenor. after reading up and looking around I found this site. I narrowed my choices down to two Kala Tenor models. Told my wife to surprise me for Christmas last year. KALA SOLID ACACIA TENOR (KA-SA-T) was her choice and it was a very good choice. It sounds great, plays great, feels and looks great, and stays in tune. String are far enough apart for fat fingers, also very good for beginners. The setup was perfect, Everything exactly how was asked. The people at the company were also very helpful and knowledgeable. They did not try to steer into buying a more expensive ukulele and more things whatever my wife asked for they said ok. Will definitely do business here again Thank you Ukulele site, Stephen

The best instrument you will ever own! 1 people found this helpfulThis is my first uke, I've had it for a year now and I still can't put it down. I didn't get a chance to get mine from the ukulele site since they were sold out when I was looking. I found mine on ebay in an "opened box" for $250. I didn't get the HMS set-up I would have liked to get but I paid less. So I can't comment on the set-up but... coming from playing guitar I never knew what I was missing till I got this uke. The wood and inlays are not only beautiful and eye-catching they also allow the uke to have a very nice dynamic range from soft finger picking to hard and fast strumming. I really like layering of the wood you can see in the angled cut of the slotted head stock, very nice touch. If you want a to learn uke and look/sound good while doing it this is the uke for you. I like and play this more than I do my guitars now. It's so comfortable and easy to sit and the couch and pick away quietly while everything in the house is going on.

Would buy again in a heartbeat. 1 people found this helpfulHands down the quality, tone and playability exceeded ukuleles I compared it to that we're 3 or more times the cost of the Kala.
