A great little uke 0 people found this helpfulHad this ukulele for a few months now. I wasn't happy with the local guitar shop options here in Virginia. Even in the $200-$300 range, the tone on local offerings seemed dull. I had to base my choice on the HMS videos, but luckily I found the sound to be pretty true. The tone is very rich and pleasing. I am new to the ukulele, but we have guitars, mandolins, violins, and violas in our house and I find the build quality to be quite good on this Islander MSC-4. I had some concerns since they are made in China rather than Hawaii, but they were unfounded. 4*s for quality just because this isn't a top of the line Kanilea. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
