I love this uke! 0 people found this helpfulI had wanted a ukulele for a long time and got this as a gift. I absolutely love it! Great tone, easy to play. I have since played quite a few others and for the money this one is a steal. It sounds as good as ukes that cost a lot more.

Good starter uke 0 people found this helpfulI bought at KST tenor and a soprano to enable me and my then five year old grand daughter learn to play. THe KAT proved to be a very balanced instrument on which to learn, as did the Kala soprano I bought for my grand daughter. I have recommended the KAT to several people who bought them and we all agree, it is a great value. The sound quality is very good, the construction is very good, and the set up was very good (We all bought them from Musicguymic). I still play the KAT although I have more high end instruments, notably an Islander Tenor. Overall, the the playability of the KAT is very good good. However, the sound, to my taste, is a bit muted. The hardware is good and the construt ion is good -- in short -- no complaints. This really is s fine starter ukulele.

Unbeleivable 0 people found this helpfulI recently bought two KA-T for friends of mine who helped contribute to my first CD. I was surprisingly shocked at the quality and tone of them. So much so that instead of using my Jazz Arch Top (Also a Kala) I ended up recording 1/2 of the CD using one of these... I almost don't want to give it away, maybe Ill buy one like it w/ electronics on board.... :)

Kala KA-T 0 people found this helpfulGreat starter ukulele! I would recommend this to anyone who just starting to play. I have looked and played others of less quality and they felt more like a toy then a nice playing ukulele like this one.
