Micah Bruce is the master luthier behind this exceptional design in a new custom ukulele line. He built for Collings Guitars for many years and the precision it takes to be a top builder there shows in these builds. This one resembles their guitar line with the fantastic light burst spruce top w the faux tortoiseshell pickguard and beautiful Hawaiian koa.

Brittni gives us the first sound sample on this special instrument.

Along with the 12" fingerboard radius and a comfortable tapered "C" shape neck, these are built for ease of play. Corey gives us another listen and look.

The appointments are classic and elegant. The volute in the beautifully hand-carved neck, the fully bound body and neck, the abalone Hapa logo inlay, and this subtle sunset of a sunburst spruce top complimented with the Hilo curly koa and glassy gloss nitro finish, it's a super nice custom tenor! Also, it has top tier tone! Kalei gives us one more sample.

Includes hardshell case.

Micah Bruce is the master luthier behind this beautiful custom tenor ukulele. While it's one of the first from this exciting new line, Micah has been a professional luthier for the last decade. He built for Collings Guitars for many years, has his own custom guitar line, and is one the main Martin warranty repairmen for Nebraska.

This one resembles a classic guitar style with a fantastic light burst spruce top and the handmade tortoise pickguard. The beautiful soundboard matches the gorgeous colors and curls of the Hawaiian koa back and sides. It's protected and shown of with a crystal clear nitrocellulose gloss finish.

Brittni gives us the first sound sample on this special instrument.

Building in Nebraska, Bruce teamed up with Rob Li and ʻĀina Racoma from Hawaii, who had a desire to build Hawaiian style tenors at the highest level, to make the Hapa Ukulele, the mix of Haole and Hawaiian. It makes a beautiful creation with this ukulele.

Along with the 12" fingerboard radius and a comfortable tapered "C" shape neck, these are built for ease of play. Waverly tuners with koa buttons make it easy to tune and add to the beauty. Corey gives us another listen and look.

The appointments are, elegant, classic, and executed beautifully. The volute on the beautifully hand-carved neck, the fully bound body, neck, and faceplate, the abalone logo inlay, and this subtle sunset of a sunburst spruce top complemented by the Hilo curly koa, all of this makes for a custom tenor that's super sweet on the eyes. A uke you can really enjoy and admire.

Most importantly, it has top tier tone! Kalei gives us one more sample.

Includes hardshell case, humidifier, and final setup.

Setup Options

Most people shop with us because of the extensive quality control and final setup work we provide at no extra cost on all ukuleles we ship out. However this is time consuming work and creates a delay in shipping. We are now offering an "Expedited Setup" for those wanting to receive their instrument faster. See details on the Full Setup and Expedited Setup options along with current turnaround times for each at the link- HERE.

Also includes the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier. For more info see our Ukulele Care link at the bottom of the site

Put a note in the special instructions if you need to or would like to let our setup or shipping department know anything.

Setup Options

Current Turnaround Time: Amount of time before shipping-
Full Setup: 5-7 Days
Full Setup RUSH: 2-4 days
Basic QC Only: 2-4 days

Basic Quality Control - $0.00 (Always Free)

BASIC QUALITY CONTROL covers inspecting the instrument for any major defects that would have been missed by the factory and any faults in construction that could potentially damage or limit the functionality of the instrument over time. Any defective instruments are rejected and replaced.  We make sure that each Ukulele meets the basic standard for a brand new instrument and will be ready to play once you receive it. A final cleanup is also included after inspection before packing and shipment.

Full Setup - $40.00 for Ukuleles Under $399 / Free for Ukuleles $399+

Includes:

-Overall QC evaluation: To find defects in construction as well as to get an overall view of the instrument and note the areas that need extra attention and adjustment during the setup.

-Saddle Adjustment: The height of the saddle is lowered to reduce the distance between the strings and the fretboard, making it easier to play than the factory setup, especially higher up the fretboard.

-Nut Slot Adjustment: The depth, width, and angle of the nut slots are adjusted to create a more comfortable playing experience especially on the lower frets.

-Fret Dressing: After adjusting the nut and saddle heights, high spots in the fretboard or uneven frets will potentially cause fret buzz, dead spots, or other unwanted problems. The frets are filed to create a more consistent level across the fretboard. We then crown the frets to return their rounded curvature back to the top of each fret creating a clear contact point for each string. We then smooth and polish the frets and condition the fingerboard to bring them back to new condition.

-Final Cleanup: We always do a final overall cleanup of the instrument to make sure it is in new condition and ready to play before it is prepared for shipment.

Rush Setup & Delivery - Additional $50.00
The RUSH SETUP AND DELIVERY service is for customers who would still like to receive everything included in the full setup but on a shorter time frame. One of our setup technicians will work overtime outside of normal business hours to complete the setup within 2-3 days of the order being placed and immediately hand it over to the shipping department for packing and shipment. The $50.00 rush charge is in addition to the cost of the full setup.

Additional services (see individual product listings to add these services to your order)
Re-stringing: We will replace the factory installed stock string set with a new set of your choosing. Select the “replace stock strings” option when adding your desired string set to the shopping cart.
