It is called "junior" (Opio) as it is made from solid sapele wood instead of Koa. The solid sapele imparts a warm tone without loosing brightness. The craftsmen ship is flawless and the complete instrument shows pride and attention to detail. After all, it is a genuine Koaloha and a little brother to the Koalohas made in Hawaii. The responsiveness is so wonderful and it lends itself easily to phrasing. What more could one want in a musical instrument.In my opinion, this instrument is the best at any cost and certainly a value beyond words. What a. gem! I can't put it down. The bell like tone will knock you for a loop. Thanks Alvin Okami for this ukulele that I hope to have all the rest of my life. It is a true inspiration. Dr. Poland
