I have owned this uke and it is currently in the hands of my Grand-daughter. The first thing I noticed was it's nearly flawless finish. Not sure I'd call it a pretty uke, but it is handsome. I immediately changed the strings from Aquilas, which were brashly bright and installed some Hilo low g's. Setup was spot on and it was light, loud and sweet, with deep sustain whether plugged or unplugged. This is one heck of a uke for the money. The fret ends were smooth and the eq allowed me to easily dial in my sound when plugged in. I enjoyed playing immensely and miss it every day. The Cordoba bag that came with it is a decent bag and protects it nicely. I and several other owners have recommended this uke numerous times on Ukulele Underground.

This solid top mahogony tenor has a very smooth satin finish, very well built and constructed. It has a very clear articulate sound and compared to other tenor ukuleles it has it's own voice also with the solid mahogany top it makes a very nice sounding acoustic instrument. I ordered it tuned with the "low G" string and it was setup "perfectly" that makes a difference in the way it plays and sounds and these guys are the best at "setups."

This was a very long anxious week because I could barely wait for it to come. It's a beautiful tenor. Nice size and weight and easy tuck under my arm when playing. My other soprano uke has the Aquila Nylgut strings and they're fine, these however, are hurting my fingers a little. I guess I'll just get used to it. Also, there's a bit of raddling I hear that probably would've been a deal breaker when trying out a few instrument. However, I see it as no big deal. It come in the Cordoba gig bag which is nice and padded with a little storage pocket. It also came a guitar humidifier, which I'm not quite sure how to use yet. I'll look up. Thanks Hawaii Music Supply!

I've been waiting for this uke for a while since I play classical guitar (not well), and this uke looks exactly like my guitar so I figured it would complement Spanish songs and instrumentals. It's my first Tenor and I dig the size over the Concert; however, the sound is as rich as I was hoping. I definitely appreciated the ability to hear the instrument being played on the HMS website as that was helpful in my decision. Honestly tho, I tend to gravitate back to my concert size Makala (put together by MGM when he ran his own thing) as it still sounds PERFECT after 1yr and is more fun to play than the Cordoba. Setup was OK, except the strings at the bridge were tied at the G string end and the bridge was a bit sharp so both issues annoyingly rubbed my arm. I cut the excess string and after playing it for a few mths these issues have gone away. If I had to do over, I'd just go with the Kala Tenor - not as pretty as the Cordoba but no doubt will sound and play much better. No more free shipping over $100? Boo :(
