Kalei samples one from this latest batch.

This is one of the best tenors you will find!! Tons of volume and clarity, easy to play, and 100% Hawaiian! This is the new model with ebony fretboard and bridge, abalone logo inlay and a new and improved gloss finish. More sound samples from this popular Hawaiian tenor model.

The KoAloha sound and feel is entirely unique to their line of instruments. Mr. Alvin Okami and his son Paul have developed their own bracing, designs, and at times, completely new instruments. They have approached ukulele making like artists and have given us a wonderful sounding koa ukulele in each size. Here in Hawaii the tenor size is the most popular. We guarantee that you will love the radiant sounds from this splendid Hawaiian Made koa tenor!

If you had yours eyes open for a good Hawaiian made instrument, this one sounds great, feels great, and as you can see is a beautiful instrument.

I have the experience of now owning, and the extreme pleasure of playing, a beautiful Koaloha Tenor. The intonation is perfect all the way up the neck! Furthermore, the tone is responsive to my playing in every way: loud, soft, bright, mellow, delicate and articulate finger picking, or free and expressive, rhythmic strumming. The Worth strings with a low G are a great match for this instrument. The beautiful Koa wood and the pleasing and distinctive head stock, sound hole, and bow tie bridge are a wonderful blend of form and function. The grover tuners allow for precision tuning with ease. The only thing I would wish for in an improvement would be some dots marking the positions on the top side binding to match the beautiful inlaid position markers on the fingerboard. Otherwise, this musical instrument is perfect in every way! I love my Koaloha Tenor!

Excellent choice for a Hawaiian built koa tenor. I've had more ukes than I care to mention. This KoAloha tenor is one the best sounding ukes I have played, on par with more expensive or custom ukes. I have only played it in low G, because it sounds so good in low G. It has a clear tone with great bass and mid range frequencies. The wider, thinner neck make it really easy and fun to play. The bound fret board and nicely finished frets also ease playing. It is very light. There is no kerfing in the build. The unibracing works well. Sound-wise the ukes is perfect. The only small issues I found in the uke that kept if from perfection (5 stars) were in the finish. There was tiny ding (1/8") on the top around the sound hole, under the finish, and a ding on back of middle point on headstock crown, also the "KoAloha" inlay on the bridge had dark smudges (can be corrected with light sanding). While these are hard to notice, you would not expect these on a Kanile'a or Ko'olau. I prefer the sound of this KoAloha tenor to a Kanile'a tenor.

I love my KoAloha tenor. It is incredibly easy to play, it has incredible tone and unbeatable volume. When strung low g, it is also very balanced. KoAloha also has unparalleled customer service and warranty. Their styling is not for everyone (musibi shaped soundhole and crown headstock), but if you like the looks you cannot beat its sound or value.

This ukulele looks beautiful, is well made and has a very warm and full sound. KoAloha Company is doing it right and I like the "Musubi" patented opening. Not sure if that particular shape has acoustical enhancement value, but it is different and makes me hungry for good Hawaiian musibi hahaha. I recommend Hawaii Music Supply. Aaron spent so much time with me on the phone explaining the differences in the various uke's. It's as if we got to know each other on the phone. Andrew then helped prepare the uke and it was done in the first class manner. Every uke is tuned by HMS prior to shipping. A great bonus because uke's are like a living thing, everyone is slightly different and tuning makes all the difference in the world. Enjoy!

Bought my KTM-00 from Music Guy Mic earlier this year. Still in love with it. It's louder and warmer than my Kamaka Tenor. Neck has a great feel, not too thin but not too thick either. Intonation is great. I keep mine in Low G tuning, and have been preferring the Worth Low G clears or PHD Low G strings. There are some building flaws, issues, characteristics depending on how you few them. Fretboard extension has some gaps between it and the body, there are some finish flaws and other minor non tone, structure things with it. But I've seen these minor things with Kamaka and KoAloha. None of these things would stop me from buying these ukes. Great playing and sounding uke, dont regret buying this uke at all!
