KoAloha Longneck Soprano KSM-02 Select

Finally back in stock! The KoAloha Longneck Soprano!

Pictures show the instrument now available! This is the new model with upgraded ebony appointments, abalone inlays, and a smooth gloss finish.

This is a new Koa ukulele made 100% here in Hawaii. It is a soprano or standard size body with a concert-length neck. What you get in sound is in between the soprano and concert. The scale length, being concert, gives a slightly higher tension and brighter sound. Yet, it still has that punchiness in the midrange that their soprano body gives. This adds a bit more balance and projection from the regular soprano and a smaller size than the concert option. It fits into the UkeCrazy soprano case that it comes with. It also fits the Oahu soprano case, which you can upgrade to on this page.

We are now including the Oahu soprano hard case which is a great fit for this instrument.

This was my first all-solid Hawaiian built ukulele but not the first I had played but it was and still is the finest by quite some distance. The sound that came from the small body of this uke was astounding to me the first time I strummed it, I knew Koaloha's were loud but nothing prepared me for just how loud. The word that kept coming to me when trying to describe the actual tone of this ukulele was crisp. It has a bite to the notes and while I know sound is a very subjective thing, I struggle to imagine a nicer one! Excellent high gloss finish which is my preference, immaculate construction and lovely grain to the koa. The tuners took a bit of getting used to for me, being primarily a guitarist and these being the first friction pegs I'd used but once I did it was fine, in fact the uke stays in tune remarkably well and for days at a time quite often which really surprised me. All in all, I would definitely recommend this uke and would buy a Koaloha again. A+

First off, this guy is LOUD. Much louder than anything else I have. This is also perfect for people who really like the soprano body, but don't like being restricted to 12 or 14 frets. This has become my go-to-uke!
