Excellent ! 0 people found this helpfulI purchased this Uke for my daughter (so that she would not play my Martin Tenor). I selected the 'electric' feature because she does play at parties and gatherings. The quality and workmanship (and SET UP) are excellent ! The on board tuner is a real bonus when playing live! Playability and tone are excellent - to compare it to a C.F. Martin Tenor may be unfair - but it holds up well ! I find myself playing this Kala quite often ! Everyone who has played it is quite impressed by amazing sound that comes out of this Uke !

Great uke for a a starter. 0 people found this helpfulFor the price this uke is an absolute steal, I have owned one in both full body and cutaway designs for 3 years now and neither have failed me. The kala value is excellent as usual and both ukes have been through their fair share of abuse on the road, in fact it is my go to travel uke. Sound is decent, but what can you expect from a uke at this price point.

The Aquila strings sound great and plays easily. I highly recommend this product for someone wanting to try "plugging in" for the first time!
