The Exotic Mahogany series from Kala is only a few bucks away from the standard mahogany series and has a wonderful look with black binding and figured golden brown mahogany. The sound is crisp and voiced very nice. For this price, we could not recommend a better concert ukulele!

Beautiful instrument, great value 1 people found this helpfulThis instrument sounds good and looks great too. A close inspection may reveal some less than perfect details, but only because its nice enough to inspire a search for perfection. It's not a handmade instrument with every detail perfected, but it is quite stunning, especially for the price. The matte finish feels nice to the touch, and the setup by ukulele site minimizes any buzzing issues-- I had to try pretty hard to hear any. Very pleased with this and glad that I got it here!

One of the best laminates you can find 1 people found this helpfulI've had mine for over a year now and still love it. I played a bunch of laminates in different stores before buying and this one sounded better than all of them. After a few months of playing I noticed the intonation was a bit off when I went higher up on the neck (I bought it from a local store that doesn't do HMS type setups). A small adjustment at the nut fixed that and it's pretty spot on now. Good projection, sustain, tone. Perfect uke to learn on. It would be hard to find a better one for the price.

Great Uke to Start With! 1 people found this helpfulI got this as my first ukulele. I did some research and wanted to get something a little nicer than the most basic models, but something cheap enough that I wouldn't feel like I wasted money if I didn't stick with it. I love it, plays great for the price. It looks good too. There's some buzzing, but nothing awful, and mine doesn't have any cosmetic issues. I have Aquila strings on mine and the sound is fairly loud and punchy (not very mellow or warm if that's what you're looking for). If you're looking for a durable, reasonably priced uke to start out with, I highly recommend it.
