All Solid Acacia Ukulele!
With the all solid acacia series Kala has achieved a refined, yet natural look and sound. Professional construction and tasteful design make this model a favorite to many.
Take a listen to Corey as he gives a sweet sound sample.
Acacia wood is the cousin wood of the Hawaiian Koa found in Hawaii. However, Acacia is much more affordable! Acacia has beautiful wood grains and similiar curls to Hawaiian Koa. Soundwise, Acacia can vary widely, so it is hard to say what each ukulele will sound like generally, but Acacia woods generally are warm with a nice resonance. It also has a good amount of clarity too.

Fine at this price 0 people found this helpfulI'm happy enough with my purchase -- it's a good value for an entry-level solid wood uke which they intelligently designed to appeal to the slothead trend -- but the intonation isn't there all the way through the instrument.

Save Your Marriage 1 people found this helpfulI had a cheap concert uke and traded up to the Kala solid Acia concert uke. With its mellow tones and clear notes it saved saved my marriage. It has a nice feel and great looks too. If you want a quality all solid wood uke that won't break the bank then you'd be hard pressed to find a better instrument than this.

Continued good use 0 people found this helpfulWe are very happy with this instrument. About 1.5 years of continuous use so far. Full sound, solid construction and fine finish. This was our second order from HMS and their service has been excellent, preparing both orders per our specific tuning instructions.
