This is the new and improved Oahu clip-on tuner. For the last 5 years the Oahu tuner has been our best selling tuner. This new version has all the features that people love. One button, bright simple display, long-lasting battery, and reliable accurate tuning. The new version is more compact with higher quality materials. The only other difference is that the color of the display turns from red to green when you are in tune.
The Oahu clip-on tuner is a one-button chromatic tuner. It stays in 440 as you need, and tunes anything you can clip it onto. This is our best-selling tuner for good reason. It has a nice big and bright display. It is very easy to use, it is accurate, and they are made to last.
The Oahu Chromatic Tuner is simple to use, and works on all stringed instruments. It lacks some of the unnecessary "bells and whistles" of other tuners that offer optional settings that you don't need and will never use. Ko'olau says "we decided that quality and simplicity (on or off), and of course, affordability is more important." The LCD display has one easy to see color, and when in tune, the needle points to the center, also displaying three additional lines along with three lines to display an in-tune pitch. Also, the clip-on bracket is sturdy and durable.

It works 0 people found this helpfulThe tuner does what it is suppose to do. It does tend to draw down the battery voltage quickly compared to other electronic tuners I have used (e.g., Korg and Yamaha), so I second the recommendation of another reviewer to stow it when it is not being used to tune your uke.

good tuner 0 people found this helpfulIt's a great little tuner. Not expensive and works just fine. Batteries last a really long time and I use mine almost every day.

Good but start button very sensitive 0 people found this helpfulI like very much this Tuner, but as a French national living in Tahiti, I learned the Latin system not the English system with the letters and it took me a little bit to learn it again. It would be great if a model with the latin system was sold on the website. Also the start button is very sensitive therefore as soon as it touches something it starts and then uses batteries faster.

Eats Batteries 0 people found this helpfulTuner works well, but it drains the battery if you don't remove it after use. I've had to replace the battery twice now, costing more than the tuner itself. Try a different tuner, if you can.

Good tuner 0 people found this helpfulI purchased this tuner with my MK-C Concert Ukulele because I was just starting out and needed a first tuner. This job, it fulfilled very well. I love this tuner, it's very accurate, easy to read, and does the job right. The cons are that the battery died on me sooner than I expected. It must drain battery life while turned off or just a lot while it's on. Otherwise, this is a great little tuner, especially for beginners, and I highly recommend it.
