Pono Pro-Classic Acacia Cutaway Tenor

The Acacia series has been a popular choice at the shop because it plays great and sounds wonderful. They are warmer in tone than we expect for an Acacia ukulele and the build quality is right on point. This one has the classic all acacia look with a soft Venetian cutaway body for easy access to the highest frets.

These Pro Classic models get extra attention and detailed appointments. This one has top and back wi'awa wood bindings and wood purfling. It has an abalone rosette and a glassy beautiful finish to protect it for many years. The gloss adds to the gorgeous looks and gives great protection for the wood, but it's taken to only about 3 or 4 thousandths of an inch thick so as not to hinder the tone. The result is a gorgeous tenor with a full, articulate voice. The new ATC-PC is an excellent value for a professional quality tenor ukulele.

Take a listen as Kalei gives us a "raw" sound sample of this ukulele. Audio recording is not compressed or mastered. To hear the most accurate tone use quality speakers or headphones.

Our ATC-PC is stunning right out of the case and plays beautifully. We were surprised that the top is cedar instead of Acacia as advertised here, but the instrument is beautiful nonetheless.
